Both men and women seek convenient, safe, and cost-effective procedures, especially outside the US. More and more consumers are touring overseas for different medical and cosmetic treatments.

If you don’t feel confident in how your body looks or feels, your options aren’t limited. The rise of cosmetic tourism is leading to inspiring product innovations, and you can immensely benefit from these.

Beauty Travel Outside Of the US

People travel overseas for quality care, cheaper costs, innovative treatments, shorter waiting times, and insurance-excluded procedures. This type of travel is growing with each coming year. Besides, it is a price- and innovation-driven industry.

So, for instance, Americans spend only a fraction on surgeries like rhinoplasty, liposuction, full facelift, BOTOX, or breast augmentation across Brazil, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey compared to the US.

These are popular beauty and medical tourism destinations. Some destinations have specialties, whereas others have high-tech care, newer treatments, experienced clinicians, etc. Most of these comply with stringent health standards like the US.

Moreover, with traveling getting easy and accessible to everyone, Americans are crossing borders for procedures outside the country. This is also true for dental surgeries. And unsurprisingly, the medical tourism market is estimated to reach over $273.72 billion by 2027.

Beauty Travel in the US

Health insurance rarely covers cosmetic treatment costs, yet the trends are soaring higher. Not just abroad, such beauty treatments are common inside the US too. Statistics reveal that more than 15 million procedures are performed in the country on people of all ages and genders. Out of these, 13.3 million are minimally invasive procedures.
Nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, facelift, breast augmentation/ reduction, cheek implant, and tummy tuck are pretty standard in the United States. Non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as soft tissue fillers, chemical peel, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, etc., are also growing in popularity.

In short, people who seek cost-effective elective care or specific treatments are moving outside of The States, whereas many are still choosing local experts for enhanced peace of mind.

Anyone considering a cosmetic or complex surgical procedure in or outside the US must talk to an experienced surgeon to know the benefits and risks of what is to come.
